Spring is a New Beginning!
One aspect that I love about spring, other than it is the season for my birthday, is that it’s a great way to think about seasonal beginnings. Spring represents a fresh start and is commonly associated with rebirth, renewal, and resurrection. This sense of renewal is expressed in one of author Robert Orben’s quotes that states, “Spring is God’s way of saying, one more time!” After long and cold wintry days, spring provides hope and rejuvenation. Cold crisp days of past thaw to express the warmth of the morning sun that provides an inviting reawakening.
Our fur-covered friends emerge from hibernation. Rain showers douse the dry stiff ground, giving life to blossoming flowers and budding trees. Birds fill the air with joyful songs. When we think about spring holidays and celebrations, environmentalists support the preservation of our planet through Earth Day, and Christians partake in one of the most sacred days of remembrance and celebration – Resurrection Sunday.
