Gratitude Changes Everything
If you truly believe that God will bless you with the desires of your heart, then you need to thank Him for all your blessings, even before you receive them. Because gratitude changes everything. Consider that you have already received what you have been praying for, what is the natural thing to do when someone gives you something or does something for you—thank them, right?
Now, put yourself in that moment of receiving your blessing, then simply begin to thank God for all that He has done for you in addition to what He is preparing to do. You are acknowledging that your blessing is on the way, and you are ready to manifest and receive it. In 1 Thessalonians 5:18, we are told to “Be thankful in all circumstances” and Ephesians 5:20 states, “Giving thanks to God the Father for everything.”
When you give thanks, you demonstrate to God that you have a grateful heart, a heart that is open to receive all His loving kindness. Even when you experience trials and tribulations, you can share with Him that you are challenged by the current situation; but, because you rely and depend on Him, you can be thankful that He will comfort you and provide you with all that you need during your times of struggle. He will give you provisions during your time of lack. And He will make a way out of no way. So, consider being grateful during the tough times, but expectantly wait for God’s blessing to come through for you.
