Meaning of Biblical Number 11: It's An 11th Year in 2018

In the bible, the number 11 is used twenty-four times and 11th can be found 19 times.  Coming after biblical number 10 which signifies man’s law, responsibility and testimony of faith and belief in the Lord, the number 11 symbolizes the opposite – the irresponsibility of breaking the Law, which brings disorder, chaos and judgment.

In Genesis 11, men rebelled against God and built the tower of Babel.  God judged them by confusing their language and scattered them over the face of the earth which resulted in chaos and disorder.

Jesus spoke twice with the phrase ‘the eleventh hour’ in Matthew 20 which is associated with judgment on what is fair and just.

In Genesis 4 verse ‘eleven’, the first judgment is made upon mankind when Cain killed his brother Abel.

Where there is judgment, there is also hope.  Jesus Christ’s name contains 11 letters and it is He that sacrificed Himself and bore all our sins so we could have eternal life and escape the righteous judgment of God the Father.

The Eleventh Year

The meaning of eleven is also found in numerology.  The year 2018 (2+1+8=11) is considered an eleven-year.  The eleven-year is a significant spiritual number that has been a factor in many world events and is noted in the bible 8 times.  The eleven-year will bring a spiritual awakening that ‘we’re all in this together’ and a spiritual power of peace, cooperation, loving service and communication.  A new feeling of tolerance around the world as change and innovation become impossible to stop or ignore.

The New Year signals us that it is time to take action on our goals.  Nurture our visions and permit space in our life for all good.  Be patient and maintain your faith as you work through 2018 bringing your passion and sense of belonging to everything you create.

Remain open to receiving and grateful for what has already been given to you.  In faith and trust, accept Jesus Christ’s sacrifice of love and relish in the delight of eternal life.
