Feng Shui is about finding a balance in your spaces in order to hold centered-ness is your life.  One is an analogy of the other; shift one and the other naturally becomes so.  In my own life, I am realizing more and more how, by maintaining order in my life by keeping my spaces organized and feeling good, it helps me as I go out into the chaos of the world.  My spaces are my foundation for keeping me grounded as I interact with all the life situations I encounter.

Balance is a nebulous word and can mean different things to different people.  It is also an energy that keeps shifting and changing, because we change regularly and continually.  Finding your Center depends on where you are at any given time, although your Center or your core never changes; it is your inner foundation, your inner strength that supports you throughout life.  This is why yoga is so effective; it gets you in touch with this core and helps you focus on and develop a greater awareness of it.

It is beneficial to have a strong sense of this core as you move out into your world.  There may be situations and circumstances in your life when the only thing you can count on is this inner strength, so developing an awareness of it is critical to you moving successfully through them.  Using nature as an example (which is a feng shui technique), think of trees.  An older oak tree is very solid and has a strong inner core, whereas an underdeveloped willow tree bends easily.  The oak is able to withstand multiple hazardous weather patterns, but the willow would probably be broken or uprooted from one strong storm.  This is the same for your own life.  So find ways to develop your own inner core strength and you will be better prepared to withstand the storms of life…..plus, it is “good feng shui!”
